Who I Am:

I'm a twenty year old junior enrolled at Rutgers University.
I plan to attend graduate school someplace and go into research psychology.
I'm a bit of an introvert, but nonetheless desire a great deal of emotional closeness in a relationship.
I'm a hopeless romantic. I've gone a thousand miles and spent every last dollar to be with someone, and I'd do it again.
My musical tastes are highly varied! I enjoy both Metallica AND Megadeth.
Seriously, though. I listen to Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Apocalyptica, & similar. Also some classic rock, and occasionally Tchaikovsky and Mussorgsky.
I'm agnostic.
I climb trees for no reason other than because I can.
The only psychoactive substances I make use of are caffeine and ethanol. I don't drink often. When I do, though, Irish whiskey or Scotch is my preferred NMDA antagonist. Preferably decent stuff.
I'm a registered Democrat. I think McCain is an OK guy, but I don't agree with several of his policies. I think Clinton is all right, but I prefer Obama.
I wear steel toed hybrid hiking/working boots, and I've put them to good use.
Despite not drinking often, I know how to tie one on when the situation calls for it.. Last time was a few weeks ago. I climbed a tree and mislaid my glasses... Took me forever to find them.
I pick up worms from the sidewalk in rainstorms and put them in relatively safe places. Just because.
I give blood regularly. I'm proud of that.
I occasionally belt out a sea shanty for no particular reason.

I am fond of saying that they call it 'je ne sais quoi' for a reason. There's something special that I see in some people... More than that I simply can't explain.
That said, the girls I've fallen for in the past have got one thing in common. They were all smart people. The similarities pretty much end there.
Now that I think about it, though, I suppose I might feel a bit more comfortable with someone who's got a little roughness around the edges.
