Who I Am:

I am almost 42. 5'10" and 190 lbs.
I usually limp a bit from old injuries.
The photos on my profile are me - if you live in the Colorado Springs area you might have actually seen me. Of course that could be a bad thing :D . . . .
I've been called a Biker, Hippie, Cowboy, Rocker, Lunatic and on occasion a few words not acceptable on this system (profanity/colorful euphemism filters, the hearts desire of the politically correct and intellectually challenged):O. I smoke about half a pack a day and enjoy a beer or two after work.
I am currently seperated, though fully single heart and soul. I have been seperated for 8 years and economic set backs have prevented me from re=filing my divorce papers.
I believed, and was led to believe that I was divorced, and only found out late last year that my ex did not finalize her end of the paper work.
I'm an artist, though I have many other 'working' skills. My artistic interests are primarily focused on sculpture, drawing and painting, though I'm interested in digital media also.
I write poetry and read a variety of genres and my musical tastes are widely varied. From oldies rock to punk, metal, celtic, world, folk, techno, old school country, a bit of hiphop/rap, latin and a fair array of classical.
I enjoy working though I utterly despise jobs.The effort placed into work too often does not provide a commensurate return. I am currently employed at a moving company (gag :S), until I can return to school.
My goal is to return to school inspite of the economy and obtain my Bachelors and Masters in Fine Art, and optimally a Phd in Art History.
I am fascinated by history in general and more so by the reflection of humanity found wihtin Art History.
My other academic interests lie in Anthropology and its related sciences, particularly Archaeology.
I'm pagan, Celtic Pagan, (not fluffy). Please understand that I am at heart - fully and deeply pagan and not a run away christian.
I am not a pacifist though I do not seek conflict. I don't pick, start, or antagonize fights, but I can and will finish them. This is something that is also deeply part of my nature.
I am not a vegan, vegetarian or anything of the sort. I'm a bipedal omnivore, which means if it doesn't kill me, or I can catch it or harvest it, I am going to eat it. (except no brussel sprouts, those things are nasty :p)
I like to roam and explore and "go there" when I can, where ever "there" is, sitting in front of a TV is a waste of life to me.
I enjoy hiking, not limited to some climbing and scrambling. I prefer off trail hiking because I am more at home in the woods, regardless of where I live.
I enjoy camping (not RVs, real camping, tents optional), canoeing, hunting and some fishing. I also enjoy mountain biking and sometimes skating. I am also interested in Ren Faires and Rendevous (American Historical reenactment and living) as well as my Irish and Cherokee Cultural heritage.
I am currently looking for another motorcycle to go with my 1974 Dodge Ramcharger, which like many other 'guys' is a definite hobby and interest, though not of ridiculous proportions. I would prefer another Harley of course, but with gas prices going terminal, I'll capitulate for anything with a decent engine and two wheels.

I'm Looking for:

Few to no hangups or the ability to control ones hangups and be oprn, free of history and able to Love and Trust. Everyone has got baggage, including myself. Its damn hard sometimes to move forward without baggage clouding the view, but one must be able to admit that sometimes it can and does.
Right now just looking for friend's - people to hang out with, preferably with a progressive and accepting green tinted mindset. I don't have time for control games or power trips as such people totally torque me off, and even I don't really like me when I'm angry. A person can have strong ideas and opinions without having head games or being a control freak.
Friends and perhaps more, that can handle a 5'10" quirk of life.
Interested in meeting people with similar interests in general, and prefferably local.
What I am NOT looking for.
1. Games, not only do I not play them, I really do not know how.
2. Mail order brides.
3. Women who think the way to hold onto a man is to tame or to leash him.
4. Liars.
5. Stupid, Ignorant, or narccisistic people.
