Who I Am:
|
A little about me... I'm an academic at heart and creative by nature. I write fiction and poetry here and there and dabble with interior design decorating my place and sometimes friends and family. I follow holistic, integrative nutrition and medicine, as well as the spiritual practice of Oneness. I love the arts, movies, most music genres and find a good debate really, really fun. Professional sports are good, though I must admit I'm a fair-weather fan and prefer Kane County Cougars games. I like outdoor things too, like camping, snow skiing, skating, boating and hanging by the pool or beach in the summer. I can glam up or grunge down and feel good both ways. Trying new things is a must! I like to ponder and philosophize, probably too much.
When I'm not lost in thought, I spend my time with my 8 year-old daughter who is the love of my life. We rent and go to the movies, play board games, go sledding, roller skating and kite flying just to name a few. Although I'm supposed to be her teacher, I've learned so much more from her. Kids are amazing, especially mine. :-)

As for you... I'm looking for someone who shares at least a few of my interests, similar life philosophies and has a good sense of humor--brownie points if its sarcastic. You must see the glass always half full and appreciate the simple things in life. Prejudice and judgmental attitudes are not a part of my life and shouldn't be part of yours. I prefer someone who takes care of themselves and shares my health and medical views, or is at least open the them. And, you must love children.
