Who I Am:
|
I am a goal-oriented, dependable-to-a-fault individual with a
wry sense of humor and a keen intellect. I am a perfectionist for
sure, but not inflexible. I simply expect superior effort and
results from myself. I am highly creative, with an inventive
mind, love sports, the arts, history, travel, exploration. I grew
up in theatre and competitive swimming. I am conservative to
moderate leaning in my philosophical and social outlooks &
value self-preservation over taking extreme chances (both
recreationally and financially). I am a realist, NOT a pessimist
(contrary to some opinions...).
I generally like activities which stimulate the mind and body - I
am certainly not a daredevil or a whirly-bird, but rather drawn to
either traditional, team-oriented athletic endeavors or creative/
intellectual pursuits. I like to read, write & design (particularly
scripts and feature stories - somewhere in there is a novel
someday -- I also design card games, hopefully to retail soon. I
like the arts (museums, fine art, theatre, movies) and thoroughly
enjoy travel & exploration (rock-climbing fascinates me, though
free-climbing...I value my life). I need to set aside more leisure
time to allow for my interests. Professional dedication is
admirable, but life has got to be some fun, too -otherwise,
where's the balance?

I'm Looking for:

I am looking for a woman who is positive, forward
thinking...independent in spirit and mind with a strong intellect
and an easy humor, has professional ambitions, but the
flexibility to balance the potential of family and requisite
responsibilities. Someone who at least appreciates sports (both
spectator and participant), if not a fanatic or aficionado, and who
has an interest in the arts, theater and travel. I'm also looking
for a girl who can go from the (cliche!) proverbial jeans to
evening dress and back again, defining the words adaptable and
attractive. Slender but fit, athletic and energetic, but not
necessarily a "gym rat." A woman with a nice figure and a
penchant toward maintaining it, who knows she looks good and
commits to staying on that track. Not a knockout type, either,
but rather the fresh-faced, "cute" kind of girl -- maybe with a
hint of freckles and mischief to match. She doesn't have to
depend on makeup to project her physical image. Sparkling
eyes and a disarming smile - but no "pure beauty" is required.
To me, pure beauty can be very superficial from a social
perspective; while I'm not the jealous type, it can also be a
magnet to every other male in sight. Jealousy breeds a sense of
"ownership," which is unacceptable. I'll go to the wire for
someone I cherish (romance and chivalry are not taboo words),
but nobody "owns" anyone. I'm not obsessive or possessive type
- ever! I GREATLY value independence and individualism in
another. I feel that certain attributes should jive, certain
attributes should compliment and certain attributes should even
conflict, because this is where a relationship strengthens,
evolves and grows.
In summary, I seek a woman who I can just feel good simply
being with -- talking about anything under the sun or keeping
an intimate watch under a full moon.
