I was a US Marine for 12 years, then I was in Law Enforcement for 11 years before I retired. Honor, Integrity, Loyalty are more than words to me. When looking for a realtionship that will withstand all that life can throw at it I have found that there are 4 key building blocks nessesary. Just like building a house or home. The first one and most important is trust. The second one is open communication. The third one is uncondtional love. The fourth and final one is romance/affection.
I was born and raised in the south where I was taught to treat people with respect and integrity by my father. He also taught me what it means to be a good man. My mother taught me that I can still be strong, brave, courageous, yet still be sensitive, show compassion, and be emotional. My mother is also responsible for teaching me how to be a giver. The goodness that comes from making sacrafices for those you love. Along with the satisfaction that is gained by putting joy into the hearts of your loved ones. My father has passed away from colon cancer and my mother is now undergoing treatment for lung cancer. I fly from Chicago to NC to care for her every weekend.
