Who I Am:
|
I walk and/or dance salsa on a daily basis. I walk about 5 miles
in about an hour. If I don't exercise daily, I feel lethargic.
Dancing is the passion that energizes me. I'm also an avid
reader,mostly about different cultures or different periods in
world history. I enjoy working in my currently somewhat
abandoned garden. I enjoy listening to tropical and world music.
I also like the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, oldies, gospel, chanson,
and several other types of music. I have lived in and traveled
extensively in Europe and Mexico. I never watch television or go
to the movies - they put me to sleep.
My friends say I'm fun, laid-back, honest, faithful, caring, and
accepting. None of them has ever accused me of being
judgmental, a liar, a hypocrite, a racist, or a homophobe. The
things I'm working on are organization, accepting less than
perfection in myself, and procrastination.
I don't do drugs and don't like to be around people that use
them. I have one or two drinks once or twice a month, but don't
like to be around drunks or alcoholics. I am in the process of
quitting smoking.
I am not particularly political and am no longer an activist, but I
do still have a strong sense of social justice. I have no patience
with racism, homophobia, or born-again Christians. No
problems have ever been solved through hatred, self-
rightousnous, or condemnation--though plenty have been
caused by close-mindedness.

I'm Looking for:
|
I am looking for friendship that might lead to something else,
but not necessarily. I'm not interested in marriage. I am faithful
when in a relationship. I am not jealous or possessive and can
not tolerate those traits in others. Although interested in having
some type of relationship, I'm an independent person and my
independence is important to me. I think I would like to find
someone to go out to dinner with occasionally and to hang out
with in LA on weekends. I like going to the different ethnic
neighborhoods and cultural events there. I also sometimes enjoy
going to museums and musical events. Age is not extremely
important, but I would prefer someone between 45 and 60. I
look a little younger than my age, My lifestyle is very active.
