Title: Seeking intelligent, fit, Old Soul
|
|
|
|
Who I Am:
|
Essentially to me life is about growth. Growth implies change--for the better of course! So I am definitely seeking someone dedicated to growth. Is that you?
Basically I am highly intelligent, emotionally mature, fit, and approach life from a spiritual perspective.
By nature I like to creatively solve problems. Thinking outside of the box, coupled with intuition and information gleaned from a wide variety of sources, can provide an apt solution for most any situation in life. Of course one could take the view that "problems" many times are actually opportunities for growth in disguise!
My outlook on having a relationship is that communication, at all levels, is the single most important element. And to that end I offer my own highly developed communication skills.
Lest I come off as too serious here, let me say that funnily enough I do have a lively sense of humor--I've even been known to crack a few plays on words at times! It is so easy to find humor in life if you don't take things (or yourself) too, too seriously! To me there's nothing better than going into uncontrollable fits of laughter that get so contagious that the tears stream down your face and no one can stop. ;)
I've also observed is that many adults seem to look at life as all work—and so don't devote any time to play. So if you haven't forgotten how, do you want to come out and play?
As for living life on a daily basis, I am quite capable of handling the many diverse aspects that are part of life here on earth.
My approach to life is to view it from a spiritual perspective. For instance to me reincarnation makes sense--which is obviously not the prevailing belief in our Western society. In addition I think that the reason that we are here on earth is to grow--and to realize the positive desire for creativity and love. Basically if you have read "The Nature of Personal Reality" or "Seth Speaks" by Jane Roberts then you will understand my spiritual outlook on life.
The unusual thing here is that I have arrived at somewhat non-mainstream views by initially approaching the "big questions", (i.e. who are we, where did we come from, why are we here), from an intellectual viewpoint. After examining the various belief systems postulated by science and religion, without too much in the way of prejudiced perception, they didn't really seem totally satisfactory to me.
At this point I feel that approaching life's questions, both big and small, from both an intuitive and an intellectual standpoint in an open-minded way, is the preferred approach--for me at least.
There is obviously much more that could be said here...
Hiking is one of my favorite life-long outdoor activities. It is wonderful to be out in nature--and there is nothing like earning the view from a mountaintop! It is also obviously good exercise, and I am fit enough that a few thousand foot ascent is no problem for me. In fact if I'm not carrying a pack, I rarely have to stop for a rest on the way up--although I don't mind waiting for someone who needs a short break.
I also like to ski, swim, sail, windsurf, scuba, cycle--the list can go on and on!
In addition I like to read, watch movies or plays, listen to music, etc. Plus I am open to new experiences--and would welcome opportunities to travel and explore within the context of a deep and meaningful relationship.
Although I am not political person per se--I can appreciate the viewpoint of Thomas Jefferson who once said, "The government that governs best governs least", as that makes a modicum of sense to me.
Really though a truer answer to my political leanings would be that I am a humanitarian, as no political party seems to have the answers to the problems that exist--in fact they sometimes create problems themselves! For that matter nationalism, sectarianism, religions that divide people from each other--none of these would appear to be the ultimate answer either.
Once again there is much more that could be discussed—preferably in some place quiet so that we could talk. Of course the person I'm with is much more important than the precise setting.
Obviously I'm interested in experiencing a strong mutual resonance--and creating a deep intimacy in which love can bloom and flourish.
Classical, jazz, popular, Indian classical--my tastes are wide ranging and somewhat eclectic.
Someone who would interest me would definitely know how to initiate a conversation!
I would like to be in life-long relationship--one in which we would support each other's growth and strive to realize our full potential both as individuals and as a couple.
I think you get the idea!

I'm Looking for:
|
One tall order coming right up! Actually you don't have to be tall--or any particular height at all. Rather the traits that really attract me are not physical ones but nonphysical -- such as being sensitive, intuitive, perceptive, and approaching life from a spiritual perspective. In addition being physically fit, emotionally mature, highly intelligent, artistic, athletic, and psychologically sound -- each of these also can contribute to an interesting and well-rounded life.
