Who I Am:

A few words that would describe me are: Adventurous, Spontaneous, Outrageous (when least expected), full of energy.. Im the guy that still likes to go to amusement parks and still have fun but drive a biofueled (biodiesel) car to get there. My last corporate job was at Chuck E Cheese Pizza as a technical manager. I was responsible for all the computers, electronics, animatronics, games, and kitchen equipment. Even though not in my job description, I would occasionally dress up as chuck E Cheese in the costume and play with the kids…. It was great fun! Im a kid at heart… Im the guy that usually brings a cloth bag to go grocery shopping, to save a tree. I shop at farmers markets whenever I can to support local agriculture, and get a higher quality food. I grow my own food, and strive to eat from home garden as much as possible. I realize that the freshness and quality of the food really makes me feel more vibrant and present. I have embraced the raw foods lifestyle not only because it is better for the planet, but also my health. I was introduced into raw foods due to a health condition. I was in the hospital and almost lost my health. Let me tell you its not fun, and a person usually doesn’t realize how important your health is until you almost lose it. My health is my number one priority in life now days. Without it a person has nothing. I have been living the raw foods, healthy lifestyle for over a decade. One of my top goals in life is to make a difference in the world, and one of my primary means to do that is to educate people about living a more healthy and green lifestyle. Its my believe I can do this, one person at a time. I strive to practice what I preach. In this disposable society, I try to fix/repair things, rather than throw them out and buy anew. I constantly think of ways to reuse instead of recycle, although on garbarge collection day the recycling bin usually has more stuff in it than the trash can. I prefer natually made items (wood, stone, etc) rather than plastic. Corn Plastic is COOL! I compost and have a 4x4 pallet pile as well as vermiculture going on. I like to learn, and am currently enhancing my education in the natural health field.
My interests vary far and wide, and im adding new interests every day! Traveling must be at the top of the list. Recently, the Carribean, Fiji and Hawaii. Previously, Iceland, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom and the Canary Islands.. I find it really interesting to experience cultures that are new to me, and to see the differences in how people live and how they act... I have come to realize that here in America, we generally live a much "faster paced" life with less traditions than some of the other cultures I have visited. Other interests include outdoor interests including the standard, hiking, mountain biking, rollerblading, kneeboarding, snow skiing, rock climbing.. Since I don’t drink and *hate* smoke, I rarely ever go out to bars, instead like quiet evenings at home prefering to rent a movie. I also enjoy researching and learning about subjects that interest me. Im like a sponge and like to soak up information. Im into reading and self-improvement. Im currently into Gardening and growing my own fruit and vegetables and wild edibles. Ever taste fresh Tamarillo or Lambs Quarter or Stevia? Delicious! Many times im quiet and just listening and learning.. unless you get me talking about something I know about. I am a fix-it-guy, I have worked on remodeling/construction/cars/ electronical items, a tinkerer at heart. I remember the first time I must have been 5 years old and took apart a radio, and parts popped out , and was unable to put it back together! Now days, that doesnt happen too often :)
