Who I Am:
|
I'm a strict vegetarian who enjoys gardening and cooking with natural organic raw materials whenever possible. I'm a mother. I have a 4 year old little guy who is the delight of my life (he's actually vegan). I've never been married, and I consider myself to be a strong independent woman....yet I tend to be simple and I cherish the small joys of life.....splashing in mud puddles, the smell of bread baking, the sparkle in a child's eye....I am a child at heart.
I'm a heavy reader, I am a huge patron of the library and I don't have cable television. I enjoy starting the day with yoga and ending the hetic day by meditating at night.
I also spend my time designing and sewing items; mostly clothes, curtains, and whatever else crosses my mind...but lately I've taken up quilting.
My day job - I'm a special education teacher at the high school level who is truly passionate about my career. I teach students with moderate to severe disabilities, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. My students are a true inspiration to me daily. I love going to school each morning. It brings such a smile to my face. I am looking to venture back to grad school very, very soon.

I'm looking for a friend....someone who shares a similiar lifestyle...one who at least respects the lifestyle of a vegetarian and isn't afraid of a strong, independent woman. A man who is attractive and educated....who has his own ideas and opinions, but knows when in a relationship to compromise. An active guy who enjoys outdoor activities, yet who also enjoys reading on a Sunday afternoon would be absolutely wonderful. A witty sense of humor is always delightful. Respect for all living things is essential.
